Mending Workshop: Stitching Together Community and Climate Action
The Mending Workshop introduced participants to the meditative power of hand sewing and history of the craft. Instead of replacing our worn out garments, participants learned ways to lessen consumption by repairing them. Participants walked away with new skills, stitches and encouragement to reframe their closet as a place to make change.

Take Action!
Check out Curiosity Studio in South Minneapolis to use art as a way to get to know yourself and others. Many of their classes focus on art forms that reuse materials we already have or reduce consumption through repair. In addition to formal classes, they have plenty of drop-in events for you to consult on your garments that are in need or repair or gather in community to make meaningful action through art.
